It is not the knowledge of what has become of me that hurts. It is not even as easy as losing my hair or growing stout, but it is not what hurts. What hurts is seeing what has become of her image of me. I am a burden. Joseph does the laborious work of bathing me and lifting me in and out of bed, but it is she who must suffer my presence even when the nurse goes home.

HFP aims to deliver thought-provoking, spiritually relevant writing. The name of our press says it all: we're in the business of making angels~! Sometimes the writer develops through writing. Sometimes the reader develops through reading. Sometimes a book is a message in a bottle. Sometimes the message is incomprehensible. Sometimes it is the only utterance of meaning on a deserted beach.
